Word cannot communicate with Zotero (1800008766)

Hello,

I have been having an issue using zotero with Word the last few days. I am using MacOS 15.6.1. I am getting the following message in Word "Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure that Zotero is open and try again."

It seems to be something related with the update of MacOS, but I am not really sure. Using ChatGPT I have tried several things, unistalling-installing, trying different versions of Zotero and Word, ping, deleting Zotero.dotm and re-installing, trying it from a different location, changing security settings. Strangely, when my MacOS was updated , I could use the Zotero pluggin in Word, but then when I restarted got the same error message again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1) Make sure you're running the latest versions of Word and Zotero.

    2) Follow these steps: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#word_could_not_communicate_with_zotero_please_ensure_that_zotero_is_open_and_try_again

    In particular, confirm that the Zotero tab completely disappears from Word when you delete Zotero.dotm, before reinstalling the plugin.

    thank you, I have tried all of them and some more. It must be something really strange. I have been trying to fix it for several days. I do not know if it makes sense but once some general OS updates were finished, it was working, and then when I restarted the computer it reverted back to the same problem.

    As I understood it is not like a general problem that users have lately because of the latest Word or OS or Zotero, right ? If that is so, then is some weird thing happening in my computer.

    If you're running any security software on your computer, it might interfere with Zotero, so you should try disabling that. Could you submit a Report ID?

    Here it is : 1800008766.

    In my case, Zotero itself works, and the browser plug in works as well. It could be something with security, even though I tried that as well. At least now, i know it is not a general problem, and it relates to my computer. Thank you
