Report ID: 1659119103 New version of Zotero is no longer opening on my desktop
I saw a pop-up on my desktop for me to upgrade to the new version of Zotero yesterday while using Zotero. After clicking on the update and running it on my desktop, I have been unable to see my library again till now. The message that keeps showing is as follows: No Update Found. There are no updates available. Zotero will check periodically for updates.
What should I do, please?

This is a generic storage I/O error. We can't tell you specifically what the problem is, but the most common cause is having your Zotero data directory on a network filesystem or in a cloud storage folder (where it should never be). It could also be due to an actual physical problem with your disk or due to security software interfering with Zotero's ability to access the disk.
If you follow the Reporting Startup Errors steps, you may be able to provide a Debug ID that would let us confirm whether your data directory is in the default location (a "Zotero" folder in your home folder).
If you're sure it is, it would have to be something else on the system interfering.
