Please help as I'm not as computer savvy as most people I see in these discussions. I don't see a connector in Zotero for DDG, nor do I see plug-ins for LO. Is there a special place I need to be looking for those options?

The only Web connector versions are only for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.

The word processor plugins (including LibreOffice's) should be installed automatically when you install Zotero.

I upvote a Duck - DDG browser connector, even though the chrome connector works in ungoogled chromium.
