Has the notetaking function gotten any better in V7?

I never upgraded to V6 because I heard they got rid of the HTML-based note editor and certain advanced functionality connected therewith (apparently you could no longer do certain more involved things involving columns and rows, colors, etc.). I didn't need any of the new features introduced, since I use Zotero simply to record what I have read and to write notes on scholarly and nonfictional texts. Has the notetaking function gotten any better again? Or is it still non-HTML with restricted functionality compared to what you can do with HTML and CSS?
  • Obviously Zotero (and most users) think the new editor is vastly better.
But the note editor is not and will note be HTML or allow raw html entry. Most things that people wanted to to with HTML such as tables and different font colors were added a long time ago, and you can apply custom css to the output using the note.css hidden pref, so you'd have to decide yourself if that works for you.
