Feature request: Click based turning of pages on Android

I often struggle with turning pages in Zotero on Android (Boox). Is the only way to turn pages on android to swipe? It often ends up moving the pdf if I have zoomed in on the text and takes multiple tries. Could you implement some version of clicking on the side of the page or next/previous page buttons like in the web library?
  • You can already tap along the side of pages to turn the page.
  • I tested this a bit now and it does not seem to work when I have zoomed in on the pdf. Some pdfs have very large margins and I often zoom on my boox (10inch). But when I zoom I’m not able to change the page by taping. It would be really great if it was possible to turn the page by taping when zoomed and keeping the zoom level.
  • Just returned to bump this issue. On android but not ios I am unable to turn the page by touching the side of the screen when I have zoomed in on the page. It works well when showing the entire page, but on smaller screens I have to zoom out before I try to turn the page.

A separate issue that may be only be with my device (boox nova air) is that zotero shows and hides the top bar on and off instead of turning the page even when zoomed out. I have to try multiple times to get it to turn the page.
  • Yes, we have an open ticket to try to support tap-based turning when zoomed in.
