Zotero fails to open database on SMB-mounted directory after upgrade
Hi,
After upgrading to the latest version, I encountered the following error when starting Zotero.
My Zotero data directory is stored on a NAS and mounted via SMB. This setup worked fine with previous Zotero versions, but it no longer works after the upgrade.
Any guidance or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
Environment
* OS: macOS (15.6.1(24G90))
* Zotero (7.0.24)
* Data directory: NAS, mounted via SMB (/Volumes/home/Zotero)

You can try the Zotero 8 beta — which is based on an even newer Firefox version — to see if that's any different, but there's a good chance you'll need to keep the data directory on a local disk for the time being. We may be able to fix this before the release of Zotero 8.
I tested Zotero 8.0-beta.7+bdf49b9b0, but as you expected, I encountered the following error:

Since I don’t have enough space on my local disk, I really need to use a NAS. For now, I had no choice but to move the Zotero directory to an external hard drive as a workaround. I hope this issue can be resolved soon.
