iOS Zotero -- "Share Post via..." not working with x.com

Tested with iOS 18.5 and iOS 18.6, using either Brave, Chrome, or Safari

Steps to reproduce:

Click on a post on x.com
At the bottom of the post, click on the "Share Post via..." button (has the up arrow icon).
Select to share by clicking on Zotero app icon.

Per usual (correct) behavior, it will now show list of collections to choose from.
It lets me select a collection (check-marked).

Then, instead of retrieving the metadata for the posting, it becomes stuck during "Searching for items." (pinwheels)
It never results in retrieving the metadata, and thereby the upper right “Save to Zotero” button is not active.

This is functionality that has worked for quite some time.
I'm not sure what has changed during the handoff from x.com to Zotero.

    Checking in to see if there is any more info. I can provide that might help. It would be great to be able to save links to Zotero again from X.

    Hey @madison437, can you also tells which version of the app you are using, and what type of device?

    It seems the issue happens only when you use the "Share Post via.." button, if you share via the Share action of the browser itself, it should work as expected. However, we are working on an improvement for the former case, that will be available in an upcoming version.

    Sorry about the delay in response, as I didn't see a notification in my email there was a reply here.

    iPhone 12 Pro
    iOS 18.6.2

    Zotero v 1.0.51 Build 366

    Aaah, I tried several browsers again. Now seems to work with Safari using "Share Post via...", but not the other browsers.

    I usually am using Brave on the iPhone to do the "Share" and it seems to produce the same result using the "..." and then "Share..." as opposed to the "Share Post via..." button.

    Google Chrome interface is different, and "Share Chrome..." does not work "It says Failed to load data. Please try again."

    Firefox also gets stuck during the handoff to Zotero, i.e. the same behavior as Brave.

    However, doing a "Share Post via..." from Safari works.
