Can't resize citation key field

In the main library window I am not able to resize (by dragging) the column showing the citation key. Or only minimally, and it resizes all other columns. I'm on macOS Sequoia with Zotero 7.
I made a little screen recording to show what I mean:

All other columns behave as expected. It also doesn't matter which position the column is at.
Not sure if this is a bug or what is going on here.

    That column isn't available in Zotero by default; it's added by a plugin, most likely Better BibTeX. Ask the developer on GitHub

    Indeed a Better BibTeX column – alas, as I was enabling the debug log to report on GitHub and restarted Zotero the problem solved itself – sorry for wasting your time with what a simple restart could solve.

    I need to come back to this issue from two weeks ago. It unfortunately reappeared (even after restarts). It also has been reported previously here, as well as earlier here (refer to the newer comments from 2025 by @emilianoheyns in that thread).

    Based on the discussion there, as well as the related problem of the same BBT column not staying in the order it is supposed to, as discussed here, @emilianoheyns suggests it is a Zotero problem, not caused by Better BibTeX. If someone has the bandwidth to look into what might be going on that'd be awesome.
