Abbreviated titles for in-line citations
Hi all. For publishing on web, I prefer an inline citation style with very abbreviated titles of books and journal articles (of one or two words, similar to those used in some footnote styles). I don't see any field that's appropriate for this use, as the "Short Title" field is already widely used for the first part of title.
To illustrate what I mean here's an example.
An example of what exists:
Title: Sophene, Gordyene, and Adiabene : three regna minora of northern Mesopotamia between east and west
Short Title: Sophene, Gordyene, and Adiabene
An example of what I need:
Abbreviated Title: Sophene
In-line citation: (Marciak, Sophene, 135) [with Sophene in italics]
Is there a way to create these kinds of citations automatically?
Many thanks for any help!

bwiernikShort Title is the correct field. That it’s often automatically populated with the first part of the title is just a convenience.
