Saving Multiple Notes for One Web Article (Item)?

Is it possible to do this without having to do it manually? I can save the first note with Zotero connector by right-click, but following that, Zotero wants to create a whole new item and note from selection.

    This used to be possible many years ago when Zotero was entirely a Firefox extension, but it isn't possible currently for technical reasons. (The extension doesn't know in real time what item you have selected in Zotero in order to show a reliable option.) We might be able to support it again in some way in the future.

    you know, though, that you can annotate the snapshot in Zotero and create notes from the annotations/highlights?
