PDFs not synchonizing with web or tablet through Zotero Storage

Dear all,
I just subscribed to Zotero storage Cloud (unlimited). Then I changed my settings to synchonize metadata and pdfs (see attached file) and put it to synchonize. BUT, I am not being able to open the attached pdf files either in my Web Library or in my Tablet (see file attached). I can seed see the names of the pdfs, but I cannot open them.

For your information, all my pdfs were forever saved locally in a directory ZOTERO/storage, in my PC (see the attached files). Only now, with the possibility of using Zotero_Android, I decided to subscribe to Zotero storage.

Questions:
1. Do I need to do anything more than synchonize my database in the PC, to have access to my pdf files in an android tablet?

2. In my zotero PC, should I change the location of storing my pdfs from my hardrive to the zotero storage(cloud) to have access to pdfs in the tablet? NOTE: most of the time I am in an experimental farm with an unstable internet, so I use the zotero locally in my PC. So, despite my interest in using zotero in a tablet with internet, often I will use it in my PC acessing all without internet.

  • Thank you dstillman. I read the suggestion in the link. But, I am experincing a problem not cited there. Just to clarify:

    1. I can open all the 8 thousand pdfs in my PC. But none of them in the web, even after synchronizing.

    2. My pdfs, in the PC, is saved within Zotero/Storage, as shown in the attachments

    3. The information in my PC is synchronizing with the web. When I edit a faked reference in one, I can see the change in the other, and vice-versa.

    4. Despite I can open any of my 8000 pdfs in my PC, I cannot open any in the web. I can see the pdf link, but tried to open many (~50 pdfs) randomly in the web without sucess. I tried in the tablet too and no success

    5. My Zotero-PC apparently is properly configurated to synchronize all attachments (see attachment in my original question).

    Thank you for your help.

You’ll need to follow the instructions on that page and provide the requested info if you’re still having trouble.
  • I am sorry but you are pointing me to the wrong solution ("The attached file could not be found"). I DO NOT HAVE any problem with unatached files.
All my files are PDFs are properly attached and can be open in Zotero-PC. Very unfortunately they are not synchronizing with a cloud I am paying to use.
Please revise it that is the right solution. I cannot sse anything there related to my problem.

    From the link above:
    5. If the file hasn't been uploaded:

    • If Device A is a computer, go to the Sync → Reset pane of the Zotero settings on Computer A and select Reset File Sync History for the library in question. (Do not use any other options in the Reset pane.) Resetting file sync history shouldn't be necessary under normal usage, but it will cause Zotero to check every attachment to make sure that it has been uploaded to the server. If the file becomes available online, continue to the next step. If not, generate a Debug ID for the first sync after performing Reset File Sync History, followed by a successful opening of the file locally, and post it to the Zotero Forums. For Zotero Storage, include the URL from the web library where you're not able to access the file.
  • Dear poettli. thank you so much for your precise suggestion. I follow it and apparently it is all working in the web and in the tablet. There was no error message during the synchroniztion after I reset.
    Thanks
  • Not my suggestion. It is from the link posted by dstillman
