Keyboard shortcuts for highlighting by color

I love Zotero 7 and that we can still highlight by different colors, but it's tedious to change the color using my mouse. Can you add keyboard shortcuts for the highlighting function so I can press one key to use blue ("b"), red ("r"), orange ("o"), etc.?

    Not as easy as letters, but you can use Alt/Option + a number to switch between tools, and the one associated with the color (i.e., Option/Alt-8 currently for PDFs) will cycle through the colors.

    That’s helpful, though customizing keyboard shortcuts and adding annotations as reminders by each color would be ideal.

    I have bound alt-8 to a button on my logitech mouse using logi options+ which makes it faster, but it's still not an ideal solution. I second patel93's suggestion.
