synced files are saving to the proper location on Mac but not my PC

I understand there is limited help Zotero can provide with linked files, but I'd appreciate any thoughts.

I have zotero set up to use linked files and save them to a folder in my Dropbox. I have these same settings on my MacBook Air with iOS 14. I also have these settings on my desktop PC running Microsoft Windows 11 Pro. Until a recent update, all was linking correctly. Recently, on the PC, my files are saving to Zotero storage, instead of the linked directory.

I'd be happy to provide any further information. Thanks for any thoughts!

    How are you adding files to Zotero ? The linked-files plugins (Zotfile up until Zotero v6; Zotmoov or Attanger in Zotero v6+) only work automatically to move files to your designated linked-files folder if downloaded via the Web Connector. And of course linked files can only be added to your personal library - they cannot be added to Group libraries.

    If Web Connector files are not being automatically moved to your linked-files folder when downloaded via the web connector on your PC, which plugin and which version are you using on that PC, and what are your Settings in that plugin on that PC ?
