Available for beta testing: Zotero for Linux on ARM64

The Zotero 8 beta adds a version for Linux running on ARM64 devices. This includes ARM-based Chromebooks and Apple Silicon Macs (Linux VMs, Asahi Linux).

If you've been unable to run Zotero on your ARM-based device, or you've been running the x86_64 version under emulation, give it a try.
  • Cool! I'm using an ARM arch Linux desktop computer, and successfully installed this beta version.
  • Cool, if anyone gets it running on a Pinenote please post.
  • On Arch Linux you can just install the zotero-beta-bin AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zotero-beta-bin (e.g. with yay: `yay -S zotero-beta-bin`). Even works on Asahi ALARM (https://asahi-alarm.org/)

Just installed it in Fedora 42 ARM in UTM VM. Works like it should.
    Great, thank you! :)

Only the "omit author" checkbox is black on black and very hard to see.
It also seems to not show the checkmark (it's always empty), but clicking on it works and toggles.

In the new cite dialogue (tested in libreoffice), if you cited from a paper, it does not show the paper a second time when searching, only that it is cited already 1 time, but entering the search adds the correct citation.
  • @asdf.hans: Please report issues in new threads. There's no reason to think interface bugs or almost any other issues have anything to do with the architecture.
