Breaking rotate shortcut in the PDF Reader

After opening the PDF Reader, I can rotate the pages from the shortcut Shift+R.
But if I click in the PDF area, the shortcut does not work anymore.
After pressing Esc, it works again.

Is it possible to always keep the shortcut working?

Is the shortcut still supported?

Is it possible also to get the R shortcut working to rotate the document clockwise as in Firefox?

  • The Zotero PDF reader supports rotation that permanently modifies the selected pages in the PDF file. However, the Shift‑R shortcut unintentionally triggered PDF.js’s temporary, global rotation affecting all pages. To prevent confusion between the two rotation modes, we’ve disabled these keyboard shortcuts.
