How can you determine numerical order of citations?

Is there a way to determine numerical order of citations when using the AMA 11th edition citation style? It gets frustrating after a while to continuously press the Add/Edit Bibliography button on Word just to see what number matches with which citation. There has to be a better way, right? Does anyone know how? Help
  • I understand neither the question nor the use case well, could you say more? Why do you need to see what number matches with which citation? And why do you need to press add/edit bibliography, why can't you just... look at the bibliography?
  • I'm not always able to look at the bibliography when I'm working with 15+ citations and adding more. I was asking is there a method or setting to determine the numerical order of citations when they're used in your paper under the AMA 11th edition format? Once you insert the in-text citation as a superscript number in your document, how can you organize the citations on the Zotero application box so that you can keep track?
