embedded PDFs do not download with find full text feature

Hello,

I am attempting to download an embedded PDF, such as this one: https://www.proquest.com/dissertations-theses/comparison-mental-health-police-officers/docview/2778644623/se-2?accountid=14509

The PDF is embedded in the proquest website, but when I try to save to Zotero with the Chrome extension, it does not work; it says as an extension. It also does not work with the Find Full Text feature in Zotero. I am off-campus, but I have linked my proxy to Zotero and I am logged on to my VPN. I have restarted my Chrome and Zotero, updated my Zotero extension and deactivated other extensions, and I'm on the newest Zotero beta. Here are the relevant DeBug IDs: D2101201564 and D1811013189.

Thank you for your help!
  • It seems like there's currently an issue with saving from the PDF tab on ProQuest. We'll fix.

As a workaround for now, click the "Abstract/Details" tab before saving. You should get a complete item with a PDF.
  • @magcanady: Fixed. Thanks for reporting this issue! Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update translators manually from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings.
  • Thank you so much. It is now working with the google chrome extension (downloads the PDF from ProQuest), but if I select the "Find Full Text" feature in Zotero, it does not work. Here is the relevant Debug ID: D1619535303
  • Thanks, we're working on a fix.
