Nothings works anymore - please help

I've worked fine with Zotero on my dissertation for years, always adding books into the library and adding references in my dissertation. Since I added the bibliography at the end for the first time, Zotero dienst work anymore. I've deleted the bibliography and I have updated Zotero. But now everytime I want to add a reference from my library, it just doesn't work anymore. Who can help??

    You'll need to say what the actual problem is that you're experiencing — just saying it "doesn't work" doesn't give us enough information to help you. See Reporting Problems for the two things we always need in order to help.

    ok thanks, sorry. My version is 7.0.22 (x64), os macOS 14.7.6
    I can not provide an error report ,because voter just freezes and doesn't gut to the state of an error report. Should I activate the Debug output?

    OK, and is this in Word? And you're saying Zotero freezes when you click Add/Edit Citation?

    Unfortunately Mac Word integration is currently pretty slow, so in a very large document, you may need to wait a while for some operations. You should make sure that "Automatically update citations" is disabled in the plugin's Document Preferences window. That should make inserting citations fairly quick (after the first one in a session, which could still take a while). But generating the bibliography could still take a very long time — potentially hours in a very large document.

    Yes in word - this does make sense, since I have put all the different chapters into one large document now. It does look like it is working, but takes so long that I stop it at som stage. Thank you so much for your fast response

    I have one other question. The one time I did integrate the Bibliography in a trial run, it did not include the blogs and documents, only the proper books and articles. Where can I change those settings, that it includes everything in the bibliography that I have marked as a reference within the document

    It will include everything in the document as long as they're active Zotero citations.
