Sorry, an update of the Chicago styles to the 18th edition broke things for some people. We're working on a fix, but for now, you can just re-select a Quick Copy style from the Export pane of the Zotero settings.
  • Can you say more about how to use Quick Copy style to copy a reference? I'm try to copy a single full-formatted reference--to get the same output as I'd get using Edit/Copy bibliography
    Thanks.
  • @RLifset: As I say, you can re-select a Quick Copy style from the Export pane of the Zotero settings. Edit → Copy Bibliography is just the menu option for Quick Copy.

But this is also fixed in Zotero 7.0.21.
  • thanks!!! perfect, instant solution!
    Thanks to the community!
  • citation is not pasting in word file
  • @roohiyusufi: This was fixed two weeks ago in 7.0.21, and I provide a workaround for older versions above.

If you're still having trouble, please start a new thread and say more. See Reporting Problems for the two things we always need in order to help.
  • Did the recent update also affect dragging of citations direct from Zotero into documents? This is a feature I use daily, but has not worked for the last week or so. I would appreciate an update on when this is likely to be fixed.
  • @pbragge: Quick Copy refers to both copying and dragging.

Zotero 7.0.21 fixed Quick Copy with Chicago styles selected, but re-selecting a style in the Export pane would also have worked, as I say above.

Zotero 7.0.22 fixed a delay when dragging due to the much more complex Chicago 18 styles.

Some Windows and Linux users may still be on Zotero 7.0.16 or 7.0.18 and will need to reinstall Zotero manually from the download page until we fix a problem with automatic updates from those versions.
