Zotero Connector missing in Safari (macOS Sonoma) — tried everything

Hello,
I'm using macOS Sonoma (v15) and Safari. One week ago the Zotero Connector icon was still visible in Safari, but now it’s completely gone. I’ve tried everything:

Reinstalled Zotero multiple times
Ran the lsregister Terminal command
Deleted Safari extension cache
Restarted Mac
Checked Safari > Settings > Extensions (Zotero Connector never appears)
I cannot reinstall the Zotero app from scratch because my instructor provided a customized version (with different language)
This is really frustrating. Is there any working solution for this bug?

Thank you.

What do you mean by this? The official Zotero app is localized in dozens of languages, so this would be extremely unusual, and if you really are using a custom version of Zotero, we can't provide support for it here. The language is just a setting in the settings (if you want to use a different language than your system language).

The fix for this is explained here, but you would have to be using the official version of the app:
