Problem with Zotero not updating cross referencing numbers

Hello, I am working on a large document using Zotero as my reference management software. It is not updating the cross references of my citations as I am moving things around and editing. I have almost 900 footnotes. It is going to be a disaster to move things around manually if Zotero does not update them for me. Can someone please help me? Thank you!

    I assume you're the same person that posted on Reddit and I helped already.
    I gave you instructions to correctly insert locators instead of manually editing citations.
    I also explained that with 900 footnotes it will take a long time to refresh citations and to give it time (let it run over night).
    I also mentioned that particularly on a Mac it will take even more time. Do you work on a Mac?
