Lost my zotero publication

I have been using zotero for a while now to add citations within various chapters for a book I have created google docs. Recently I had to re-install zotero because of a cyber incident at work and now I cannot find how to get the zotero publication showing again. It is still showing the different citations in google docs, but not in the main zotero app? Can someone help me please?

If your computer was wiped and you weren't syncing previously, your only option would be to restore from a backup you (or your IT department) made previously of your Zotero data directory.

aaah ok, thank you. I realise I was not using the syncing function and have started from scratch and done that now. Luckily I hadn't done lots of citations at this stage.
