Bulk "Save Image As" from area tool annotations?

As the title says, I'm wondering if it's possible to bulk "save image as" for annotations I've made using the area tool. I looked through some old forum posts that said I could do this with Zotfile. However, I'm on version 7, so that won't work, and I didn't see this functionality as part of ZotMoov.

Am I doomed to do this manually for my boatloads of annotations? Or is there some easier way I'm not seeing? Thanks in advance!

    If Zotfile could have done this (I'm not sure, I never needed that option) it would have been working with area/image annotations embedded in the PDF. That would have been prior to Zotero v6, when PDF work required an external PDF reader. Then the PDF reader was added with Zotero v6 and annotations were no longer embedded in the PDF file but instead added to the Zotero database. So I don't see this as being relevant to Zotmoov, which is only really for "linked" file management.

    But this could be a feature request for Zotero, where there could be an option to "Select all images" then "Save all images".

    Thanks for the detailed reply, that helped add a lot of context to the situation! As you said, I'm looking for a "Save all images" type option.

    Hopefully, someone does have a workaround in the short term. But I'll look into putting a feature request in case this isn't possible in any way.
