Style Preview not showing new style
I was getting an exception error today and after some research established that my Turabian Style was out of date. I downloaded the current version from the style repository and uploaded it to my desktop (Mac) Zotero. Turabian is showing up in the Style Manager pane but not in the Style Preview pane. I have closed and reopened Zotero and that has not worked. I checked Zotero is up-to-date - it is. Any other suggestions for getting the new style to show in preview like it did previously?
You may need to reselect a Header Citation Style in the General pane of the settings.
I've also explained this to you before. I guess I'm a little confused why you're so concerned about the Style Preview? Generally, if you have to cite something, you know what style is called for and choose it when you go to generate citations. That's the point of dependent styles — you can choose "Turabian" if that's what your requirements call for even though it's really just Chicago.
Dependent styles were added to Style Preview in Zotero 7, and it is working fine for me on Windows:

@RedDwarf: What is your Zotero version?
What is the exact name of the Turabian style that you have added?
Can you show a screenshot of your Cite settings showing the Turabian style you are using?

Have you tried deleting the old Turabian style from your Style Manager, and adding the new one again through the "Get additional styles..." link below the Style Manager?
I removed the Turabian Style yesterday when I got the exception error and doing some googling recommended to remove it. That stopped the exception error on all the styles in style preview. I then went to the repository and downloaded the most current Turabian version (9th edition) but it does not show in style preview. I've had a look at the link that dstillman provided and now know how to copy doing it with the options. I think that is actually slower for copying citations as I check in preview to ensure the citation is populating the way I require it and then I just copy from there. I still really don't understand why coping from preview isn't recommended though.
The Style Preview requires you to navigate through the settings to open a window that generates citations in all installed styles. It's just not meant as a tool for everyday use like this.
