Why is it frequently becoming unresponsive lately

1. Error Report ID:1079237945

2. intel core i5 8th Gen

3.I thought uninstalling and reinstalling would fix the issue, but the computer warned that I already had the 32-bit version installed, so I performed an overwrite installation of the 64-bit version.

4.I’m sorry—could this be an issue on my computer?is outdated? Today the Zotero desktop app has been repeatedly “Not Responding,” and it’s been extremely sluggish and laggy. I don’t know how else to describe it: my mouse moves, but within Zotero there’s absolutely no reaction. Other programs are running fine.
  • You have almost two dozen plugins enabled. Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins, and see if the problem goes away.
  • If you think about what your particular plugins do, you realize that some only do things when you ask them to, while others are doing things most of the time, or at least regularly, in the background. The latter type of plugin can be processor intensive and make Zotero sluggish.
  • "Even after reducing the plugins to just five, the situation still hasn’t improved."God,what can i do

From my experience, the plugin Ethereal Style is completely unusable with a large library, making Zotero extremely slow.
    Try disabling that one first.

If that does not improves things, disable all plugins and enable them again one by one until you find the culprit(s).

Then report on the GitHub of the plugin to see if they can fix the problem.
  • That's my experience with Ethereal Style too. There is the option in its settings to turn off those of its many operations you don't use, which may reduce the processor load. I think I only have one operation turned ON.
