  • Hello! I am seeing the same issue. I tried updating and restarting but no luck. My debug ID is D1499270813. Thanks!

What style do you have selected in the Quick Copy settings? One of the Chicago styles?
  • Yes-- it's Chicago Notes and Bibliography. I tried APA 7th edition and I'm seeing the same behavior.

As I was testing and reproducing the bug, I found a new clue: if I wait a few seconds before switching windows, the citation will be copied to my clipboard. This is what that looks like:

    1. Switch to Zotero window
    2. Click on an item
    3. Hit Ctrl+Shift+C
    4. Wait for 5 seconds
    5. Hit Shift+Tab to switch to a text editor
    6. Hit Ctrl+V and the citation will be pasted

It's tricky to reproduce but it looks like that delay happens even if I shift focus away from Zotero (i.e., swap steps 4 and 5 above.)

    Here's a new debug ID: D906352919.
  • What if you switch to APA, restart Zotero, and wait for the initial loading and syncing?

To be clear, if you try to use Quick Copy immediately during Zotero startup, there could be a delay before the copying happens.
  • I switched to APA, restarted, and waited a few minutes. Now the keyboard shortcuts are not working but if I click through the dropdown menu (Edit-Copy Bibliography), it works immediately.

(Thanks for working this through with me!)
  • (I can also drag an item out of the window, drop it on the text editor, and get a bibliography entry.)
