What style do you have selected in the Quick Copy settings? One of the Chicago styles?
Yes-- it's Chicago Notes and Bibliography. I tried APA 7th edition and I'm seeing the same behavior.
As I was testing and reproducing the bug, I found a new clue: if I wait a few seconds before switching windows, the citation will be copied to my clipboard. This is what that looks like:
1. Switch to Zotero window 2. Click on an item 3. Hit Ctrl+Shift+C 4. Wait for 5 seconds 5. Hit Shift+Tab to switch to a text editor 6. Hit Ctrl+V and the citation will be pasted
It's tricky to reproduce but it looks like that delay happens even if I shift focus away from Zotero (i.e., swap steps 4 and 5 above.)
I switched to APA, restarted, and waited a few minutes. Now the keyboard shortcuts are not working but if I click through the dropdown menu (Edit-Copy Bibliography), it works immediately.

Here's a new debug ID: D906352919.
To be clear, if you try to use Quick Copy immediately during Zotero startup, there could be a delay before the copying happens.

(Thanks for working this through with me!)
