iPad app glitches

I just got a new iPad and set up the Zotero app. I am now trying to sync my library so I can access annotations and work offline. I got some of the way there, but have run into a glitch:

When I clicked "download attachments" for all items in my library, it downloaded only 346 out of 2817 (based on the "local storage" report on the settings, which seems accurate from my random checking of various items). Most items in my library should have an attached file, so there should be closer to 2500.

This is not a storage issue as far as I can tell. I am only using 32% of the 2GB in my Zotero storage, which I purchased when I replaced my computer last month because I wanted syncing to be easy. At that time, all local files successfully synced across the two laptops. But it's not happening with the iPad.

Help please! What am I missing? Thank you!
  • Hey @AlexFree, when selected the "Download Attachments" action for "All Items", did you then close the app while there were ongoind downloads? If so, there is a known issue that may make background downloads fail silentnly. We have a fix for that, which will be part of an upcoming release.
If that wasn't your case, i.e. you had the app open all the time, can you please provide some more info for the files that weren't downloaded. While recording a debug log to share here, can you open and download those individually, or try downloading for a specific collection (or even "All Items")?
  • Well, as weird as it sounds, I closed the app in frustration, reopened it today for the first time in a week, and all the downloads were there. This after trying multiple times to download items, quitting and restarting, and definitely NOT closing the app while there were ongoing downloads. I'll take it!
