Plugin to automatically detect if cited references already exist in my Zotero library?

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if there’s a plugin (or built-in feature) that can help me with the following:

When I’m reading a PDF inside Zotero, I’d like to see which references cited in the article are already in my Zotero library. Ideally, it would automatically highlight or list them — or at least notify me in some way.

Is there any plugin that automates this process? Or any planned feature like this?

The Reference plugin will do that, and some powerful other things. It's a bit difficult to begin with due to the lack of up-to-date English documentation, but is worth the effort. Its ability to find matching references in your library will depend on the availability of DOIs on both the reference list side and on the library side. Most recently described here:
