An error occurred saving with Springer Link (but still works)

When adding an item from Springer Link, the connector shows the following error:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u7554954/w26zzchutqy1djj0ic65.png

The article is imported correctly with the PDF, but I thought I'd report this just in case.

Zotero 7.1-beta.41+355c61e6d (64-bit) on Linux
Zotero Connector 5.0.169
Brave 1.80.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • That's saving for me without an error. Can you provide a Debug ID from the Connector for reloading the page and trying to save?
  • D852753722
  • Interestingly, the item is no longer imported correctly while earlier it worked fine.
  • You didn't reload the page.
  • Sorry about that. Hopefully D1888987388 is better.
  • (1)(+0000001): HTTP GET https://citation-needed-springer-com.[…].idm.oclc.org/v2/references/10.1007/s10614-024-10556-x failed with status code 400
Does the "Download citation" link at the bottom of the page work for you when connected via your proxy? (Zotero will prompt to import it if it's working.)

When I click "Download citation", I'm presented with a dialog that asks "Import items from citation-needed-springer-com.[...].idm.oclc.org into Zotero?"

After clicking OK, the entry appears in my library.
  • Thanks, I think I know what's going on here. Opened an issue; we'll update this thread once it's fixed.
  • Hello,

I also tried to save a Springer Articel into my library, however it doesn't save it. Articel is https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-68418-4

    Debug ID is D785824663

When I open a chapter on the Springer website and save with metadata it works, but I cannot save directly from the main site. Zotero and Zotero Connector are up to date.
