I would be grateful if anyone could guide me.
Hi, I’d like to update my earlier request for the Veterinary Microbiology CSL style. The journal’s Guide for Authors confirms they now follow Elsevier’s Vancouver numbered reference style:
---
1. In-text citations
References are numbered in order of appearance using square brackets:
as demonstrated [1,3].
Barnaby and Jones [4] obtained a different result.
---
2. Reference list format
References are listed numerically (not alphabetically). Journals are abbreviated per LTWA. Include DOI wherever available.
Examples (required citations):
Journal article:

Chapter in a book:
[2] I. Mares, Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers? In: P.A. Hall, D. Soskice (Eds.), Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage, Oxford University Press, New York, 2001, pp. 184–213.

Request
Could the CSL style be updated to reflect this numbered Vancouver format (square brackets in-text, numerical ordering in reference list, abbreviated journal titles, DOIs, support for datasets, preprints, and web references)?
Thank you for your help!
We'll change the dependency. (PR: https://github.com/citation-style-language/journals/pull/153)
