Upgrade StorageFirefox extension throws "An error occurred saving with", fails PDF on all publisher sites
I am using Zotero on OSX (latest version) with the Firefox (140.0.2) extension (up to date). I had to reinstall all extension after an update and now I am unable to get PDFs saved along with articles.

The extension shows the correct symbol, hovering over it shows "Save to Zotero (Nature Publishing Group)" but if I then hit save, the entry is created in my Zotero collection but several error messages appear in the Zotero extension progress box. First one is "An error occurred saving with Nature Publishing Group", then several more errors are reported trying different translator options and then a dialog pops up that asks me to select the actual article from a couple of choices but there never appears any PDF in Zotero.
The same problem occurs on every other site I am using. It does not seem to be related to the publisher.
What I tried:
- I gave the Zotero extension all the permissions I could find in the Firefox settings.
- I disabled cookie deletion and ad filtering extensions, to no avail
- In Zotero extension preferences, I authorized saving to Zotero.org
- I have submitted a report through the Zotero connector preferences (136899030)
I repeated the adding of the article with logging enabled:
Debug ID is D1830920619
I hope this can be sorted out!!

dstillmanedited 8 days agoYou're running an outdated version of the Zotero Connector. Firefox should be showing you a warning icon on the application menu in the top-right corner. Click that and accept the updated permissions. If you don't see the warning, reinstall the extension from the download page so that you have 5.0.169 or higher.
