Zotero Connector Not Functioning in Safari – Ongoing Translator Errors Not just science direct

Despite having the Zotero Connector installed and enabled in Safari on my MacBook Pro (Intel, 2019), I’m consistently receiving the following error when attempting to save articles from ScienceDirect:

“An error occurred while saving this item. Please troubleshoot translator issues for more information.”
Here’s what I’ve already attempted:

Zotero desktop app is fully installed, updated, and running while saving

Connector is enabled in Safari and granted full permissions

Zotero translators were manually updated via Preferences > Advanced

ScienceDirect cookies were cleared

Zotero Connector was reinstalled via the Mac App Store

The same issue occurs across multiple ScienceDirect articles

Connector debug output was enabled (I can provide the Debug ID if needed)
