When I open notes in Zotero 7.0.16 (64-bit), they always jump to a new window. I don't like this feature of jumping to a new window. Can I set it back to open in a new tab instead?

If you click once on a note in the middle pane, it will open in the right-hand pane.
If you double-click, it will open in a new window.
Notes have never opened in tabs, so you're misremembering something there. (It will likely be possible to open notes in their own tabs in a future version.)
