Looping ScienceDirect CAPTCHA when using Find Full Text

  • Sadly for me both the beta and 7.0.16 fail to pass the captcha so no downloading the PDF from ScienceDirect. I am in New Zealand so perhaps the geographic region is an issue.
  • @AMeganGee: Not sure what you mean by that. There shouldn't be a CAPTCHA within Zotero anymore in Zotero 7.0.16 or the beta. That's the point.

    From the Zotero 7.0.16 desktop > Find full text> ...I still get the CAPTCHA box for ScienceDirect and have to insert a tick and then it loops and I have to insert the tick again, repeat, no pdf arrives. I don't get the captcha or the pdf with 7.1-beta.39+0acfcd3f9 (64-bit)
  • Right, that has nothing to do with the thread you posted to, which is about improved attachment saving from the browser. I've moved this to a new thread.

    For operations within Zotero, the CAPTCHA on ScienceDirect is still causing trouble for some people. We're hoping we'll be able to fix that in a future version. For now, you should save from the ScienceDirect website.
