[Safari] Adding citation: window with list of references won't open after clicking 'add citation'

Actually there are technically two bugs, but the first went away on its own so I'm hoping it will stay that way.
(Just in case: bug 1 was the 'zotero' tab showing up twice in the google docs bar, neither of which worked. Nothing to even click in the first place)

Bug 2:
Clicked on zotero button, then 'add/edit citation'. Instead of the window opening with the list of references to choose from (and the bar to type article titles), it just says 'zotero is editing your document' for a few seconds, then goes back to the document without making changes.

Not sure whether the issue is with zotero, the connector, or both. Here are both debug IDs, just in case:

    Edit to add: I checked whether it opens in an extra window or something, but no dice. I also tried waiting it out, but the window does not open even after several minutes of waiting.

    I deleted several MB of files to see if it was a storage issue, but that also didn't help. Uninstalling/reinstalling zotero didn't either. Neither did restarting the computer.

    We're looking into a potential problem with Google Docs in Safari in Zotero 7.0.16, which was just released.

    For the moment, you can use Google Docs integration in a different browser.
