Word plugin not finding references since upgrading to 7 (Mac, OS14.7)
I just upgraded to Zotero 7 on my MacBook Pro. The word plugin is there all good and the search window pops up when I select "add citations". However, it goes all wrong when I type some keywords in. The progress wheel keeps spinning forever and no suggestions of reference appear. I re-installed the plugin manually ("Zotero.dotm" in the proper word start-up folder of my library), restarted everything, several times, in various sequences, nothing works.
I am left with that annoying progress wheel and can't insert any reference any more, which basically makes Zotero totally useless.
Anyone having any idea of how to troubleshoot this?

jeremie.rossyBy the way, I just reverted back to 6.0.37 and now it works like a charm. but 7 looks awesome and I'd be very happy to use it.

adomasvenSubmit a Debug ID from Zotero 7 for an attempt to insert a citation.

jeremie.rossyha, thanks very much for the lighting fast comment. but I would have to re-upgrade to 7 to do that, wouldn't I? that would be a bit too much (as I would need to re-re-dowgrade to 6.0.37 after that to be able to work...)

adomasvenRight, but if you want us to fix this for you so that you can permanently upgrade to Zotero 7, you will need to perform the troubleshooting there. You can install both Zotero 6 and 7 alongside each other, e.g. by installing the portable version of 7 temporarily for troubleshooting.

jeremie.rossyHi adomasven, it's been a long time but I still have the same issue :-/ I bought a new computer, thought the issue would just have gone away and upgraded again Zotero to the version 7. And the very same thing is happening. This time I created a debug, ID784293532.

adomasvenWe have completely rewritten the citation dialog in Zotero Beta. It might be worth installing that and seeing if it works. If it does and you don't encounter other problems, you can stay on the Beta version until the new citation dialog lands in the main release. If you still see this issue, create a debug id with the beta.
