Zotero not opening on MacBook M4 - Report-ID: 2066254773
I recently bought a new MacBook after using a windows laptop for years. After first setting everything up, Zotero worked seamlessly. However, for private reasons, I had to change/create a new AppleID for all my devices. Now Zotero doesn't open up anymore and I get an error message.

Translated this means:
The Zotero database cannot be opened.
Make sure you have read and write permissions for all files in the Zotero data directory and that security software isn’t preventing Zotero from accessing that directory.
Data Directory: /Users/username/Zotero
According to the program settings via Finder however, Zotero does have permissions to read and write.
My mac runs on the latest version of Sequoia 15.5 and un-and reinstalling Zotero didn't help either.

dstillmanThis would happen if you moved data between macOS accounts without fixing the permissions. You can fix this from the bottom of the File → Get Info window in Finder, but you'll need to look up how to do that, since it's not related to Zotero. All the files and folders in your Zotero data directory just need to be owned and writable by your current macOS user account.

jvbaumThanks, this helped, not in the way as intended though. Turns out I just deleted Zotero for this new user account, I got to the bottom and deleted Zotero entirely from this PC. After reinstalling once again I am now able to use Zotero again.
