Reference Manager upgrade

Looking for a replacement program for the original "Reference Manager" (Thomson Reuters). I know I'm a dinosaur for still using that program but have found it very useful for keeping track of (mostly) literature articles, reports, etc. The time has come to move on and I'm looking for a replacement. Interested to hear thoughts from users of Zotero on the usefulness of this application. I use the 'UserDef' field in RefMan to keep track of cites specific to particular projects I work on and am wondering if there is something similar in Zotero. Thanksyou can provide. for any help
  • Zotero is free. You can download it and play around.
Specifically Zotero's "Tag" system will interest you as well as the "Collections" one can create.
