Zotero & mac : no zotero under automation to enable coomunication between Word and Zotero

Hi everyone,
I am using a mac, system 15.4.1 (24E263)
My word is version 16.97, zotero is 7.015 and I can't get the word plug-in to work.
Theer is a missing permission to control word, but when I go to Privacy&Security > Automation, there is no Zotero under Automation to enable the Word under. What do I do?

    I have the same problem. I first cleared all the permissions on my mac, which was a ball ache. Then completely deleted Zotero with app cleaner. Restarted. Nothing.

    I get a pop up when I try to install the word plugin saying that Zotero wants to control other apps, which I accept. But, I still get the missing permission pop up when I try to make a citation. Zotero doesn't appear under the automation tab in Privacy & Settings.

    I've seen the devs say this is a OS issue on several other postings. However, I have many other apps which rely on similar permissions (controlling other apps, automation etcetera) and I have never encountered an error like this before.

    Word, Zotero and the OS are all up-to-date.

    Let me know if I can provide any information to help debug.

    Ok, so, deleting just Word didn't help. I removed everything microsoft except onedrive and then, after a restart, reinstalled the 365 suite from the web (not app store, though I didn't before either). Now, it works...

    The correct permissions request came up, specifying Word. Phew,
