no connection between the Word document and the source library

Hello. About two months ago, I worked on an article with your software.
Now I have to make changes, but unfortunately, no connection is made between the Word document and the source library. When I try to make an addition in the Word document, a yellow frame opens instead of a red one, and the text is not recognized. No connection is made to the source library. I tried closing the document and the software and reopening it, but it didn't work. I tried reinstalling the software, but the problem wasn't solved. Kindly help solve this problem.
  • Yellow means you are trying to add a note. You need to click on add/edit citation.
  • Thanks for the response.
As I wrote, the phenomenon occurs when I try to add a source (citation). I'm clicking "add/edit citation", and a yellow frame appears. When I start typing the source details, the frame remains yellow and does not import the selected source from the source library. This is compared to a typical situation where a red frame appears and the source, which is in the library, appears there, and I can attach it to the article.
I hope the explanation is more precise now and that you have a proposal for a solution.
  • Press Escape in the yellow dialog to dismiss it, then use the "Add/Edit Citation". When a citing dialog is already open, pressing on a different integration button just refocuses the existing dialog. This will be communicated better in a future Zotero release.
  • Thanks, but there is no change. I press Escape, the yellow box closes, and then when I click "Add/Edit Citation" a yellow box opens again. I tried to refresh and start again, but I still get the same result - each time a yellow box opens, and when I type text into it, nothing happens - no connection is made to the source library.
