Does it happen immediatelly after you open the app and right from the Collection Items List sceen when you long press on the file and select Remove Download? Are you consistently crashing on exactly the same item when deleting it's attachment? Does it happen only for PDF downloads or other types as well?
It happens whenever I am in a mood for tidying up downloaded files
I start with switching the "downloaded files" filter on
This then reveals what is downloaded. Some of them no longer need to remain on my device so I choose one.
One option is to long press the record then choose remove download
The other approach is to click on the ? option, then the attachment, then choose remove download
All the files that I'm affected by are PDFs
The good thing is that the file does appear to be deleted locally before the force close (i.e. when I reopen the app the file no longer appears in the list when I filter by downloaded files).
As noted above, I have occasionally managed to remove download without force close but mostly the app force closes
Further update. The force closes are on my pixel 6 phone. The same zotero library on an android tablet removes downloads without any problem suggesting it is a device specific issue
