webpages and PDF files
Hi, some webpages and PDF files are not saving all the information needed to complete reference correctly.
I am adding the information manually- is this what I should do? thank you

Also diabetes UK website is another one I have had to populate the information on myself.
hope this makes sense

Do you have an example from the Diabetes UK website?
The diabetes uk website was about number of people with pre diabetes.
Diabetes UK/pre diabetes: was it this page? https://www.diabetes.org.uk/about-us/news-and-views/one-five-adults-now-live-diabetes-or-prediabetes-uk
If so, there isn't a lot of information to capture and on my machine Zotero seems to do what it can - or maybe I'm missing something? Again, be as specific as possible when you report problems.
This website
Now I don't see much information that's citable on that page: the title (Zotero is getting it on my machine), the name of the web site (got it as well), the access date (always needed for proper citation of a web page), a summary... that's it, it will be poor but just sufficient in many cases.
I assume you are also interested in the "Diabetes is Serious 2022" PDF? Sadly, as far as I can tell, it doesn't contain any structured information in a format that Zotero could use - which is unfortunately common for institutional reports such as this.
So yes, I'm afraid there isn't really a better way for your references from this web site.

was wanting to save the whole PDF file as in the guideline NG 28
But you'll need to be using the Zotero desktop app to do the second step. The web library is far more limited and not intended to be used as a primary interface to manage your library.
