pdf file corruption all pdf files now are black

I uploaded many pdf files to zotero a year or so ago. Just checked them today and all the pdf files are rendering as black pages. Looks like the files may be corrupted, all of them.

Is there a way to fix this?

    Just to mention the obvious, are you sure this is not simply because you are in dark mode?

    Go to Zotero Setting, under General the first selection is for Color Scheme. If it set to Automatic and it is night time, or it is set to Dark, that's how your pdfs (and pretty much everything else) would look like.
