Including existing user accounts in a Lab account ?

Until now, we used a group library to which were invited the members of an HTA unit, with non-negligic bibliographic needs. This setup proved useful, but the limitations of "ordinary" account (specifically storage) limited this usefulness. We decided to standardize on a Zotero Lab account.

I found no way to add the address of the members of the unit (already Zotero users) to a newly-created Lab account.

Did I miss something ?

Do you have a suggestion ?
  • From the Manage Lab page, you can enter any email address. If that email address is associated with a Zotero account, that account will get unlimited storage. Users can add multiple email addresses to their Zotero account (eg, a personal email and their university email) if needed.
  • I was unable to find the "Manage Lab" page.

In Home > Settings > Email, trying to add the email of an existing user account fails with the message "Failed to add email address. It may already be associated with another account.".

    What do I miss ?
  • Never mind...

Re-re-reading the "Institution FAQ" (https://www.zotero.org/support/storage_institutions_faq), it dawned on what I use for a mind that the "Lab" aspect was only acring on *storage management*. Each user keeps its own personal library and collaboration is still done throug shared libraries.

    Is this correct ?
  • Yes, that's correct.
  • We managed (enlightened guesswork) to retrieve the owner's password and transferred ownership to an active admin.

Is there a procedure to destroy a permanently (definitively) inactive user ?

Thank you very much for your help !
  • When you're logged in to the account, it can be deleted from the security settings.
