Zotero + Google Docs stuck on red bar, tried all other solutions from other forum posts
Hello, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the Zotero + Google Docs integration. It works *maybe* 10% of the time and is drastically slowing down my ability to actually write what I am trying to write. The red bar just gets stuck and does not get the typing option to insert the source. When I am able to type in the source, sometimes it will just get stuck on the blue loading bar within the red Zotero connector bar and then give me an error.
I have restarted Safari and Zotero probably at least 100 times now. I am using the most recent version of Zotero and Zotero Connector for Safari (Zotero 7.0.15) and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it does not fix the issue. What can I do? I genuinely cannot insert citations anymore without restarting my browser and Zotero at least like 5 times and saying a prayer.
Also, before you ask if I'm just not seeing the red Zotero bar because my browser window is in front of it (like I've seen people comment on other posts) I can assure you I can see the red bar. There is just nowhere to type in it.
Please help me. Thanks.

Images attached, I have two monitors so Zotero is open in one desktop view and Safari in the other.

adomasvenSubmit a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to insert a citation. Could you temporarily try working with a different browser (Firefox or Chrome) and see if you still the issue there?

jgomienThank you for your reply. The debug ID for my attempt in safari is D1193216966. I have tried in google chrome, which allows me to get to the point where I can type in the source, but then the blue loading progress bar advances to the end but never completes. The citation in the doc is {Updating}. The ID for that is: D1013439785. I've had the loading bar issue before and thought it really could just take that long to update (the document is ~30 pages with a fair amount of citations), but in the past I have left it for 15+ minutes and it had still been at the same spot.

jgomienAlso, this issue is new today, but I just checked my document again and it had duplicated the bibliography for 150 pages. The regular bibliography is around 7-8 pages I believe. The really long bibliography contains just the sources from the doc (not the whole library) and just keeps repeating them.

adomasvenYou should remove the bibliography and all its duplicates completely, then see if the citing speed improves. Then try re-adding the bibliography and see if you still have any issues.
