Image annotation format

I currently have my extensions.zotero.annotations.noteTemplates.highlight setting as the following:

{{if comment}} {{comment}} {{endif}}

{{highlight qoutes='true'}} {{citation}} - {{if tags}}#{{tags : tags join=' #'}} {{endif}}
I would like my image annotations (the boxes) to have the same function, but I dont seem to be able to find the correct setting or way to control their output in the same manner as highlighted text.

Can anyone help me find the correct setting or means of controlling the image annotation output similarly?

    Image annotations currently don’t support note templates, but we are considering adding that.

    Is this still an ongoing 'missing feature'? I'm really keen to get image annotations carried into note templates through betternotes.
