Can't install extension on chrome

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the zotero connector because it was not downlaoding PDF's on my chrome browser. Now when I try to reinstall it, it gives me the message "To add this item to Chrome, please update your browser." even though my chrome browser is up to date.

That would be a problem with your Chrome installation, not with the Zotero Connector.

What version of Chrome do you have?

Thank you. I tried uninstalling chrome but had a lot of trouble with it. I've since fixed it by finding and deleting some folders labeled with chrome, and then reinstalled using the Safari browser. This fixed the problem.
