Slow PDF reader only in dark mode on linux

I noticed my pdf viewer being difficult to scroll and laggy. I changed to light mode and the issue disappears. This is with any pdf, regardless of size.

    You can try the latest Zotero beta, which includes themes and an improved dark mode support. However, there is no real reason why your current Zotero version should be slow. This likely indicates issues with graphical acceleration.

    Here’s what you can try:
    1. Disable all plugins.
    2. Ensure that layers.acceleration.disabled is set to false in the Config Editor under the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings.

    Fascinatingly, I'm having this issue as well in 7.0.15-1.

    When in dark mode, every time the document reaches a page transition, I cannot scroll further without some stutter, as if it is waiting for the page to load.

    Somehow this does not happen in light mode (I can scroll into the half-rendered page).
