Hi, guys

I wonder if it is possible to integrate my own AI services, like openAI or Gemini API, into Zotero so that I could chat with my reference via the artificial intelligence APIs. Thanks.

Hmmm, they seems to be third-party ones. If the Zotero itself could have this feature in future, it would be fantastic!

I doubt that will happen. Zotero wants to create a software that works for everyone, while not overloading it with stuff that only some will use. Hence they allow for the creation of plugins to provide such functionality that can be added by individuals that need it.

I browsed the link given above.
I'm wondering if there is any solution to associate my Zotero library with my local AI.
This AI is able to communicate via an API. I don't see an API offered by Zotero for this purpose.

Zotero has a local API: https://groups.google.com/g/zotero-dev/c/ElvHhIFAXrY/m/fA7SKKwsAgAJ?pli=1

You should be able to point any tool at that, though the API obviously isn't designed specifically with AI tools in mind
